Landlords/ Letting Agents beware of the MEES-ills

An estimated 10% of private rental properties will fail to meet the minimum energy efficient standards (MEES). Meaning by 1st April 2018 when the standard becomes mandatory these properties will either have to be improved or removed from the rental market.
To protect your landlords’ investments, PMMServ™ can advise you on the best ways to meet compliance in the most cost effective ways.

We provide remote and on-site energy assessments carrying out the following checks:

  • -Validate current EPC
  • -Suitability of recommended improvements
  • -Funding available; Does the property/tenant meet the criteria?

We will work with you throughout to ensure a hassle-free process providing clear information and support.

Our access to the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), a Government backed funding scheme, sees most privately rented properties fitted with insulation paid for by the energy companies. In most cases these improvements are free, although some may require a small contribution.

By working with PMMServ, you can access £1000’s of funding for energy efficient improvements. Your landlords will benefit from the added value of the improvements whilst tenants have reduced running costs. You’ll also ensure that after 1st April 2018, these properties will remain on the rental market.
